Cabins: Green Forest Eco-lodge is a combination of wooden structures, opening up to the amazon forest. The lodge reflects the ambience of a traditional jungle Ecuadorian House, but provides the comfort and protection of a permanent building.

DAY 1

Canoeing in the Cuyabeno River to Green Forest Ecolodge – The trip to the ecolodge is in a traditional jungle boat, during this journey our guide will explain you all about the flora and fauna. You will learn why Cuyabeno Reserve in the Amazon Jungle is a paradise to see all kind of birds, monkeys, macaws and different type of mammals living close to the Cuyabeno River. As soon as you arrive, lunch will be served at our lovely restaurant facing the pristine amazon forest. After getting settled in your bungalow we will head to the most famous lake in our National Park called Laguna Grande, in this amazing place we will observe pink dolphins swimming around our boat and get ready to be amaze with one of the most stunning sunsets of your life. Later at night we will have dinner and a short presentation of our crew.
Before going to bed we will head for a walk into the amazon rainforest, there is a lot of chance to see animals and insects during this time. The nightlife in the jungle of Ecuador is full of surprises and amazing moments.

DAY 2

Laguna Grande & Palma Roja – Breakfast with view of the canoe to Laguna Grande. Finally is time for our famous amazon wildlife hike guided by our native naturalist guide.
He will show you the beauty of the rainforest has to offer from the seeds, the infinite plants, animals, insects, birds and many other natural wonders. After a few hours of real contact with the amazon wildlife we will return to the ecolodge for a nice lunch meal.
The afternoon is time for another adventure Laguna Grande Lake is the perfect opportunity to observe trees that live in the Lagunas de Aguas Negras. It is amazing to see the symbiosis and the number of species that inhabit this area. You may have the opportunity to view cormorants, toucans, caciques, orioles, lazy parrots with 3 fingers.
Observe and listen the noise of pink dolphins and different species of birds that lives around here. After which we will enter the Laguna de Pato Cocha, one of the fourteen lakes that exist in Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, but only three can be visited because the others are breeding areas for many endangered species such as the manatee and giant otter. After returning to the Laguna Grande you will have the opportunity to swim and watch the sunset before returning to the Green Forest Ecolodge. Then we will return to the lodge for dinner and a farewell cocktail.

DAY 3

At 5:00 am you will have the opportunity to go birdwatching along the Cuyabeno River in an ecological canoe. After that you will return to the lodge for breakfast and then is time to head out to civilization by motorized canoe along the Cuyabeno River. The lunch box is our final service in this magical adventure, then you will travel by car back to Lago Agrio (starting meeting point) which determines the end of the tour in Cuyabeno in the heart of the Amazon Jungle.

ITINERARY 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

DAY 1

Cuyabeno Bridge to Green Forest Ecolodge, the trip in motorized canoe is two hours of travel across The Cuyabeno River and during the journey your guide will explain all about the flora and fauna. You will learn why it is a paradise for view different kinds of birds, monkeys, mammals, lush trees with hanging roots trying to compete with the abundant nature in order to survive and beautiful Heliconia. Lunch will be served in our new Green Forest Ecolodge and then you will have time to get settled in your room before an afternoon visit to the Laguna Grande to observe pink dolphins and a beautiful sunset visit to the island of birds, where you can hear the sounds of many bird species before returning to the lodge. Dinner, a welcome cocktail and presentation of our crew will be followed by about a one-hour night walk around the Lodge. Then you will return to the lodge to enjoy a social night with other guests or the opportunity to relax for the next day’s activities.

DAY 2

Green Forest Lodge – Community of Bolivar Port, Breakfast will be at 8:00 am, which then will be followed by a one and a half hour trip by motorized canoe down the Cuyabeno River, where you will have the opportunity to observe all the beauty that nature can offer. After that we will arrive at the Siona community where you can enjoy and share cultures and traditions of a small Indigenous group called the Siona people. Your guide will explain everything about the medicinal plants they use, the fruits, vegetables, coffee, cacao and the yuca Mañoca, which you will have the opportunity to use to prepare the Amazonia bread of Casabe. This will be followed by lunch and a visit to the community’s Chaman for a special traditional ceremony. The women of the community also sell special artisanal products made with natural materials from the jungle for unique gift and souvenir ideas. Then you will have the opportunity to relax or engage in activities such as a football game with the residents of the community before returning to the lodge for dinner.

DAY 3

Laguna Grande Palma Roja – Breakfast will be served at 8:00 am, which is then followed by a trip in motorized canoe to Laguna Grande. From there you will start a 4 hour guided hike to learn about the forest from a naturalist guide, who can help you discover the beauty the forest has to offer from the smells, tastes and variety of colours. You can learn about the symbiosis between the trees and the insects such as the citrus ants that use their acid to protect their territory, the gum tree, as well as many other natural wonders for you to discover in the jungle. This is followed by a break in the jungle and then we continue to the meeting point with the canoe to return to the lodge for lunch and a rest. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to observe trees that live in the Lagunas de Aguas Negras. It is amazing to view the symbiosis and the number of species that inhabit the area. ITINERARY 5 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

DAY 1

Cuyabeno Bridge to Green Forest Ecolodge – The trip in motorized canoe is two hours traveling the Cuyabeno River and during the journey your guide will explain all about the flora and fauna. You will learn why it is a paradise for birdwatching, monkeys, blue butterflies (Morpho), lush trees with hanging roots trying to compete with the abundant nature in order to survive and beautiful Heliconia. Lunch will be served in our restaurant at Green Forest Ecolodge and then you will have time to get settled in your room, after that we will visit to the Laguna Grande to observe and swim with pink dolphins and enjoy a beautiful sunset. As well you can enjoy on our way back to the ecolodge the sounds of many bird species before returning to the lodge. Dinner, a welcome cocktail and presentation of our crew will be followed by about a 1-hour night walk around the Lodge. Then you will return to the lodge to enjoy a social night with other guests or the opportunity to relax for the next activities days.

DAY 2

Breakfast at 8:00 am will be followed by a 30 minute canoe trip to the starting point for a 4 hour jungle hike where you will have the opportunity to view footprints of tapirs, deer and Sajino pigs; with luck you will have the opportunity to view one of these animals. After that you will visit the Tarapuy community, which is a small community made up of Secoya Indigenous people. In this community you will have the opportunity to learn about the culture and customs, as well as help community members prepare the famous yucca bread or Casabe. This will be followed by lunch as well if you feel like after lunch we can go for a swim in the Tarapuya River. The guide will explain different medicinal plants then you will return to Tarapuya tribe, and then the Cuyabeno River in motor canoe, which takes 2 hours. After all of this excitement you will have the rest of the afternoon to relax at the lodge. After dinner we take a tour along the river in search of caimans, tree boas, nocturnal birds or just to enjoy the night sky full of stars or a full moon before heading back to the lodge for the night.

DAY 3

Laguna Grande Rio Hormiga Patococha – Breakfast at 8:00 am will be followed by a trip in motor canoe to Laguna Grande. We will leave the large canoe and use an ecological canoe to observe and hear the sounds of pink dolphins and different species of birds like herons, cormorant, oropendolas and caciques. After that we will arrive at Hormiga River, which is the home of the Tucanes bird. It is a small and beautiful river full of magic. Afterward we will arrive at the Pato Cocha, one of 14 lakes that exist in the area, but only three can be visited because the others are breeding areas for many endangered species such as the Manatee and giant otter. After returning to the Laguna Grande you will have the opportunity to swim and watch the sunset before returning to our Green Forest Ecolodge for dinner.

DAY 4

Palma Roja Hike: Breakfast will be served at 8:00 am, which will be followed by a trip in canoe to Laguna Grande for the start of a 3 hour hike in Palma Roja. The guide will explain the types of vegetation that can be seen in this area and the different types of spiders and insects that you can observe. After the hike we will return to the lodge for lunch and then you will have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the surroundings of the lodge. Dinner will include a good bye cocktail and a speech from the guide.

DAY 5

At 5:00 am you will have the opportunity to go birdwatching along the Cuyabeno River in an ecological canoe for groups smaller than six people. After that you will return to the lodge for breakfast and then return by motorized canoe to the Cuyabeno Bridge with a box lunch. Then you will travel by car back to Lago Agrio, which is the end point of our services.
